This is an external module. Please note that it may or may not work with the current release (1.9.1). This module is not included in the default ZNC installation, and you will need to manually compile it before you can load this module. This module is not useful anymore. If you experience +/- before messages on freenode, upgrade ZNC
The new IDENTIFY-MSG and IDENTIFY-CTCP capabilities of the new Dancer IRCd used at freenode causes the first character of a message or notice to be set to a plus sign (+) if the user is identified with NickServ and a minus sign (-) if not.
This module prevents clients from sending IDENTIFY-MSG to the server to avoid this feature.
Alternatively, freenode now allows to disable those prefixes with /CAP REQ -identify-msg
.
